The Imperial Berkey is the ideal water system for small to medium sized groups, or for a family that chooses to purify all water for large amounts of cooking and boiling applications. As with all Berkey systems, it can treat both raw water from natural sources and "treated" water through municipal water treatment systems. All Berkeys are constructed from highly polished stainless steel.

This model comes with 2 Black Berkey Purification Elements but is expandable to 6 elements. This system has a storage capacity of about 4.5 gallons (17 liters) and when in use it stands 25.75” in height with a diameter of 10”. The upper chamber nests within the lower chamber for transport and stands only 17” in height. If configured with just 2 purification elements, it will purify 5.5 gallons an hour. This doubles with 4 elements. If you expand your Imperial to the maximum capacity of 6 elements, it will purify 16.5 gallons of water per hour!
