Whole Sesame Seeds, Hulled
Known as “The Butter of the Middle East”, sesame seeds have been enjoyed for centuries for their nutty flavor and toasted or creamy texture. In fact, if you’ve ever had hummus, you have eaten them in an ingredient known as “Tahini Sauce” (which is sesame butter). It is also commonly used in Indian and Asian cuisine, and is excellent on baked goods such as breadsticks.
Origin: Central America
Kosher: KSA Certified
Storage: These seeds have a high oil content, and although the oil is relatively stable while the seed is intact, refrigeration will slow the oxidation process and prolong the life of the seed.
