Understanding Grandma
Many of us remember hearing the stories about life in the Depression Era, some of us do not. Meet Paula, who served as our local home economics teacher for over 30 years. She is a beautiful and graceful woman that spent some time with me, helping me understand Grandma.
Kasse from Rural Women Rock also shares her sentiments about this era-gone-by from the perspective of her own grandmother. “My mom would cut cardboard and slide it down inside my shoes so I could wear them longer” .
