Apple Oatmeal Cookie Granola<\/h1>\n

Easier than a \u201cno bake\u201d oatmeal cookie<\/h2>\n

I named this recipe \u201coatmeal cookie\u201d because that is the closest I can come to the emotion that overcame me as I bit into this granola.\u00a0 \u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

This is made in your Excalibur dehydrator<\/a>, using Paraflexx sheets<\/a>.\u00a0 You will set the temperature to approximately 125\u00b0 F and allow it to run overnight.\u00a0 At least, that is what I did but it was so perfectly crisp that I do believe less time or lower heat might be possible.\u00a0 If you prefer \u201cliving foods\u201d closer to raw, try a lower temperature\u2014either way you will still end up with a healthy oatmeal cookie like product.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

The yield for this recipe was three trays<\/span>. Play with the ingredients.\u00a0 For instance I did not use all raisins, I combined them with dehydrated berries from my pantry.\u00a0 I also mixed walnuts and pecans because I could not decide between the two.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

5 medium apples, sliced and peeled<\/span><\/p>\n

6 cups rolled oats<\/span><\/p>\n

1 cup nuts<\/span><\/p>\n

1 cup raisins<\/span><\/p>\n

Dehydrated crumbled raspberries, to taste (optional)<\/span><\/p>\n

1 cup maple syrup<\/span><\/p>\n

2 cups warm-hot water<\/span><\/p>\n

\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

In a separate bowl, mix the maple syrup with water.\u00a0 Set aside.<\/span><\/p>\n

In a large bowl, mix all of the other dry ingredients for this no bake oatmeal cookie.\u00a0 Stir in maple syrup mixture.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Dump mixture onto dehydrator trays.\u00a0 Turn on the dehydrator and forget about them until morning, and then enjoy your chewy oatmeal cookie with your yogurt!<\/span><\/p>\n
