It is our policy to send shipments within 3 business days of the order, but the average time is 1-2 business days. Typically the tracking number for your order will be sent to you via email.
Pantry Paratus maintains the right to hold an order if there is a need to verify the customer’s address, purchase, or identity, and you will be contacted in such an event. We make every effort to provide our customers with both quick delivery and protection of their personal information. If an order seems unusual in any way (such as multiples of a large ticket item or if there are different billing and shipping addresses), we will contact you via email and/or by phone so that we can ensure your order was correct and that you are not a victim of fraud. Please be patient with that process, which is designed for your protection.
If you need an expedited service, please check the appropriate options in the shopping cart. There are occasional exceptions: holiday weekends may experience a delay due to carrier limitations. Also, sometimes an item runs out of stock. We will notify you immediately when this happens, so you can know what to expect with processing time.
Orders $150 or more are shipped free to the 50 US States and Territories, with some exclusions. This will appear automatically as “UPS $0.00,” and this is the option you should select. However, Pantry Paratus, Inc. reserves the right to ship it via another carrier should that option be more cost effective or timely. The customer will be notified via email with their tracking number via either method, unless shipped USPS First Class (which does not have a tracking number, and is reserved for items weighing less than 1 lb). Items that will calculate shipping regardless of shopping cart total are due to the items heavy weight and close-to-cost pricing that make free shipping untenable.
Those items are as follows:
- Canned Butter, Cheese, and Clarified Butter
- Chop Rite Two Cast Iron Grinders & Presses (although replacement parts and attachments will have free shipping).
If you are ordering a combination of excluded items and items that do qualify for free shipping, you will not see “UPS: $0.00” but the total will only calculate the shipping for the excluded items. For instance, if you are buying a case of butter, you will only see the shipping for that case of butter and other items will not calculate shipping.
In honor of our military members and their families, Pantry Paratus™ offers free shipping via the USPS to all APO and FPO mailing addresses. Families with an APO or FPO address should use the coupon code “apo-fpo” at checkout to immediately receive the discount. Due to the cost of shipping canned butter, canned cheese, cast iron meat grinders or presses, we are unable to offer free shipping on these items to APO/FPO addresses; standard shipping rates (via USPS) apply on these items only. We prize our privacy and security, and so it naturally follows that we honor yours. Pantry Paratus™ will never sell, rent or give your information. Never. We will never collect personal data about you (such as your address, phone number, etc) unless you elect to enter that personal information while creating a log-in. We will not automatically sign you up for our newsletter at the time you make a purchase. You will receive emails, however, that are directly related to your purchase. For additional shopping privacy, we offer a guest checkout option.

If you believe that any information we are holding on you is incorrect or incomplete, please contact us.
We always offer a 90 day return policy, just to be sure that you’ve had time to pull out your new purchase and use it! Sometimes life gets away from us, and some of us like to purchase gifts early. We believe that 90 days allows ample time for you (or the gift recipient) to utilize the product. Please contact us to request a “RMA” (Return Merchandise Authorization). The item must be returned with the original packaging, any accessories or manuals that came with the item at the time of purchase. If you purchased this on-site (through an expo or trade show), you must have the original receipt. If you have ordered a Berkey or filter, please try to check the package and contact us within the first 10 days of delivery, due to Berkey return policies. Contact us either way and we will see what we can do for you.
We will ensure that you have a copy of your receipt emailed to you. In fact, we do this instead of placing it as a paper in your shipment. Instead, you will get only the packing slip to show what you have purchased. This streamlines your returns process, since you can attach the document to an email, instead of making a photocopy or scan of the receipt later when it might be needed. If you wanted a paper copy, please request this at time of purchase.
If you wish to invoke a manufacturer backed warranty claim on your item, we would be happy to assist you with that if you wish. We maintain great relationships with our manufacturers and we chose to do business with them based on their products performance and high ethical business practices. We accept Visa, Mastercard, and Discover, American Express, and Paypal. We will also accept personal checks, money orders and silver (with prior approval). Our credit card processing is secure and preferred; we never see your information. It is processed directly through the credit card processor. Our website is SSL certified.
Personal checks/money orders: once the check or money order has cleared the bank, the items will then be sent to the mailing address listed in the purchase. Please contact firstname.lastname@example.org before sending a check by surface mail. This will ensure that we know it is coming, so we can prepare your order for shipment. There is a $30 fee charged by Pantry Paratus™ for all returned checks in addition to fees incurred from your financial institution.
We strive to keep our pricing internet-competitive. Many of our items are at the lowest prices permitted by the manufacturer (called a “MAP” [Minimum Advertised Price] in ecommerce parlance). We will occasionally run other promotions to increase your shopping satisfaction. These sales will be announced through the website, Facebook, and other media outlets. Some sales may allow the product to be backordered, meaning that you can get the sale price even though the item is now out of stock. Other items may not allow for purchase once stock runs out. This will be noted by “out of stock” and you will not be able to go to checkout.
Please save a copy of the receipt for your own records. Your receipt will be emailed to you in a digital format. This is for the longevity of your record keeping (no papers to lose) and so that it is a readily usable form should you need to make a return. If you would like a paper copy sent in your shipment, please request this at the time of your purchase.
